First Day Cover
The First Day Cover is illustrated by the torch of the IOIG 2019 and the 14 pictograms as well as a view of the new Cote d’Or National Sports Complex. Competitions regarding two sport disciplines, Judo and Swimming, are programmed in the new complex.

Three stamps issued depicting themes on the Games

  • The Rs 21 stamp illustrates the very concept of the ocean link among our Islands. It depicts the sailing competition which will be held in different categories at Grand Baie.
  • The Rs 24 stamp depicts the logo of the 10th Indian Ocean Islands Games which was selected after a national competition. It illustrates the head of a dodo (Raphus cuculatus) composed of a coordinated artistic arrangement of four different forms of athletes in the colours of the Mauritian flag.
