House-to-house delivery

  • Comprehensive coverage:: We offer 100% house-to-house delivery of letters across the island.
  • Flexible options Customers can opt for a rented Private Postal Box for their delivery needs.

Confirmation of delivery

  • Proof of delivery: Obtain confirmation by sending letters via registered post with an advice of delivery.

Types of correspondence delivered

  • Regular services: Ordinary letters, registered letters, express letters, parcels, and EMS.
  • Corporate solutions: Personalized delivery services, pick-up and delivery services, and direct mail services tailored for corporate bodies.

Addressing system

  • Correct addressing:: Ensure complete name and address are indicated on the front side of the envelope or wrapper. The sender’s name and address should be on the top left-hand corner to facilitate processing in case of non-delivery.
  • Redirection services: Notify the Post Office of any address changes. Correspondence can be redirected to a new address upon request using the prescribed redirection form.

Treatment of undeliverable correspondence

  • Return to senderr: undeliverable correspondence is returned to the sender if the sender's name and address are indicated on the letter.
  • Returned Letter Office (RLO) Correspondence without the sender’s details is handled by the RLO.

Parcels by air for all destinations (except Rodrigues) should be posted at least one week before the latest date of posting of correspondence. The public is kindly advised to place their online orders well in advance so as to secure timely delivery before Christmas and New Year.
 
Early Posting = Early Delivery = Customer Satisfaction

Mauritius Post Ltd informs its esteemed customers and the general public that, due to a substantial increase in the volume of air parcels and small packets, combined with limited cargo space on Air Mauritius flights to Rodrigues, the regular daily dispatch of these items has been temporarily suspended.  During this period, priority will be given to EMS services and letter mail, while the transportation of parcels and small packets will be subject to delays. Customers intending to send parcels using Colipost boxes (sizes S, M, L, and XL) are advised to use the sea freight service for shipments to Rodrigues.  We would like to reassure you that all parcels, up to a maximum weight of 10 kg, will continue to be accepted via Surface Mail. Mauritius Post Ltd has put measures in place to ensure that surface mail dispatches to Rodrigues occur at least twice a month to minimise disruptions.  We sincerely regret any inconvenience this temporary suspension may cause and appreciate your understanding and patience.
