IFB 3 of 2024 – Design and Build/Turnkey Contract for the Refurbishment and Renovation of the Mauritius Post Ltd. Building at Pailles.
Following queries received from potential bidder/s, kindly find below response to queries:
Query No. 1
Kindly confirm the dimensions of the two Lifts as per Section V. Employer’s Requirements.
Reply:
The dimensions of the lift shall be as follows:
- Inner Car Width Minimum Dimensions – 2100 x 2300 mm
- Minimum Hoistway Size – 3050 x 2675 mm
- Minimum Door Opening Width – 1200 mm
- Minimum Door Opening Height – 2200 mm
Query No. 2
Kindly confirm the required dimensions of the two staircases as per Section V. Employer’s Requirements
Reply:
The staircases shall be at least 900mm wide. The area of the stairwell should be minimum 18m².
Query No. 3
Kindly confirm whether a Male and Female Toilets are required on each of the first and second floor.
Reply:
Yes. A toilet for both male and female are required on each floor. At least one disabled toilet is required per floor.
Query No. 4
Kindly confirm whether a kitchen/messroom is required on each of the first and second floor.
Reply:
Yes. A kitchenette is required on first and second floors each of area 13m².
Query No. 5
Kindly confirm the number of offices required for both first and second floors.
Reply:
The number of offices required for each of the floors is four (4) and each shall be of a minimum area of 15m².
Query No. 6
We refer to Section V. Employer’s Requirements, Clause 8.1 Drawings. The submission requires:
- a) a video walkthrough of both the site with proposed building and the interior;
- b) a physical model of scale min. 1:200
In view of the closing date of 15 November 2024, the submission of a video walkthrough of the building interior and exterior and a physical model within such a short time frame is not feasible.
Reply:
The submission of the Video Walkthrough is maintained for the 29th of November 2024.
However, the submission of the physical model is not mandatory at the time of submission of the bid. Only the selected bidder shall have to submit the physical model after finalisation of the design with the Employer, within one month of award.
Query No. 7
Request for extension of submission date by four weeks.
Reply:
The Mauritius Post Ltd. (MPL) wishes to inform that the closing date of the tender listed above have been extended to Friday 29th November 2024 at latest 13.00 hours.
Offers in sealed envelopes clearly marked with the IFB No. 3 of 2024 should be deposited in the Tender Box at The Mauritius Post Ltd 1, Sir William Newton Street Port Louis 11328 by 29th November 2024 by 13.00 hours at latest.
Offers received after the specified time and date will not be considered.
